Oh Sarah Palin, how you make my blood pressure rise!

12 Sep

Seriously, I couldn’t watch 2 minutes of her interview with Charles Gibson. She’s that annoying to listen to. I love how she COMPLETELY changed her opinion on global warming. She really needs to get her stuff together and be consistent while she’s feeding us all her bullshit. And OMGosh when she starts defending her “plan from God” comments. Boy does she do everything she can to avoid saying yes that’s what I said!

When I watch John McCain speak, I feel like I am watching a dang Zombie. He bores me so badly that I can’t even listen to what he has to say (not that it matters to me, but I want to hear both sides). It’s awful. I REALLY can not see why people are voting for him. At all. Though I am sure they think the same about me voting for Obama.

My Shana and her family safely managed to evacuate from the Galveston area. I hope that Ike doesn’t get as bad as they’ve predicted, but it’s not looking good. My Julie, who is in Houston, didn’t evacuate so keep them in your thoughts. I am not looking forward to Ike’s residuals, but I can’t complain about that since a lot of people will probably lose their homes and potentially, lives.

I have to get back to my sewing. I am letting the Dorothy dress that I made for Aud out and giving it to Gretchen’s little girl, Emily. We put it on her yesterday and it was freekin adorable on her, so I have some work to do with that.

I’ll probably be back later….who knows?!?! ♥

Audrey’s check up

08 May

Little Miss A had her 2 week well check (at 3 weeks old) yesterday. She weighed a whole 7lbs 13 ozs which makes her bigger than 50% of little girls her age and she was 20 3/4 inches long, which makes her longer than 85% of baby girls her age. She also has a huge head that the Dr and Nurse both commented on. :p

She is doing really well though. Everything sounds perfect and she is growing like a weed.

So I am a little slow

21 Apr

Audrey Michelle was born April 17, 2006 at 5:02 in the morning. She weighed 7lbs 5ozs and was 20.25 inches long, giving her big brothers a run for their money for sure!

Her being born on the 17th was a pretty big surprise for us. We didn’t expect to see her until the 23rd, when I was going to be induced, but she had other plans apparently. She didn’t want her daddy to miss Heroes. :p For being 2 weeks early, she was a mighty big girl. She also had a single umbilical artery which made her size a little more shocking.
So far the adjustment from 3 to 4 kids is going ok. I can’t complain too much, though I wish sleep were more readily available. We’re doing well. I am going to go put her pics up in the gallery now. Hopefully I don’t get distracted before I get it done.

She’s never coming out!

05 Apr

I am so miserable! I have been in “early labor” or whatever since at least Monday. I have contractions all day long! Miserable, horrible, painful contractions that lead no where. It’s awful.

I had an OB appointment Monday afternoon and since I know you all want to know what my cervix is up to, I was 2 CM dilated and thinned out, which is good progress and though Dr. M thinks she will be here by next week, I am doubtful. I know I can walk around dilated for weeks and have nothing happen. So whatever bit of hope he gave me Monday is quickly slipping away.

It’s just as well I suppose since I haven’t even begun to pack the hospital bag or the boys’ over night bags. I still have lots of things I would *like* to get done around the house, but won’t. So I suppose I can wait. I just can’t keep having these contractions. They are bringing me close to tears!

ANYWAY…in other family news, the boys got their report cards last week and both did well. They both were on the Honor Roll again. Though Jake did manage to bring a B to a VERY low C, that was slightly disappointing. But he knows he has to buckle down and get to business to bring it back up before the end of the year.

Maddie is doing GREAT in potty learning! He has peeing down to a T! Pooping…not so much. But he will get there.  He’s even having dry nights which is GREAT!

Anyway, there’s not much else to talk about. I did upload some older pictures a couple of weeks ago from Christmas and when went to the Ft Worth Zoo last year. I will try to get the ones from the G-ville zoo (we went a couple of weeks ago) up soon.

IT’S A GIRL!

05 Dec

We found out yesterday that baby #4 is definitely a girl! I think we were both stunned to her the tech say “I don’t know, that looks like a girl to me” after swearing for the last 4 months that she was definitely a he. I think I spent the entire ultrasound in tears. And what’s even better than her being a girl is that she is a completely healthy little girl.

We told Jakob and Spencer (who have been told from day one that she was a he too) last night. We told them by giving them both pink burp cloths and telling them they were going to need to use those in case the new baby spit up. At first it didn’t click with them but then Dylan asked “Do you think they are a good color?”. And Jakob said “Well, they look kind of girlie.”. And then it clicked. Spencer said “NO WAY! I AM NOT GOING NEAR THAT! GIRLS ARE WEIRD!”. They both got pretty stoked when we told them they could now get those funny shirts that say stuff like “Will trade my sister for candy”. Silly boys.

Maddux keeps saying her name over and over again. WAudrey. (It’s Audrey, but he has to add the W) And he keeps saying “My sister”. It sounds so cute and so bizarre. He no longer wants to squish the baby anymore either. Before we found out, he had this thing he liked to do. I would ask him if he wants to squish Sawyer and he would drop everything and run over and squeeze my belly. He doesn’t want to do that now.

It’s so so crazy!
