Practice makes perfect
Spencer has practice tonight (every Tuesday and Thursday) at 7. Hopefully we won’t get eaten by the misquitos again!
Jakob “might” have practice on Friday at 5:30….the whole 2 practices he has had, he has done really well! I will get some pictures of the practices soon!
I am a mother
I just pulled a spaghetti noodle out of my hair…..last nights dinner. Wonder if it was noticed when I dropped Jake and Spence off at school this morning??
end of the year field trip
Yesterday we went on Spencer’s end of the year field trip. We went to the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum in Seminole. It was a blast.
The first thing we did was go to the dinosaur dig. Maddux had a blast with that. He didn’t want to leave that section. After we left there, we went to watch Spencer put on a puppet show. Maddux was a great audience member.
From there, Blake and Spencer went on to re-arrange the United States. Apparently they didn’t think it was set up properly. After jumbling up the USA and making it the way they thought it should be, Spencer went on to become a news anchor. He did pretty well at it if I do say so myself….nevermind that he thinks Los Angeles is in Africa. Maddux rather enjoyed the show.
We continued on to the construction zone where they busied themsleves building all sorts of different things. Then we stopped off at the dentist where daddy gave Spencer a thorough exam. After their dental exams, the boys decided they need to sit on a jury. I think they took that job a little too lightly.
Then it was time to check out the ambulance. Nothing too exciting going on in there. After the ambulance, they needed to go to school. Spencer and Shawn were the students, while Dylan was the teacher. Spencer decided to do a little grocery shopping before we sat down for lunch.
After lunch, we went outside to play on the pirate ship. Maddux really enjoyed the slide. Then we went about the town. Spencer managed to catch a ride on the back of a gorilla.
This house is the one where we stopped having fun for a bit. Maddux went inside and got his fingers caught in the hinge of the door. It was pretty scary. He cried for over an hour and Dylan had to run across the street to get him some Motrin. I was worried he may have broken them, but wanted to wait until we got back to town to take him to the doctor.
We decided to take him on the train to see if that would cheer him up a bit, and it did. Spencer rather enjoyed the train also! After that, we went to check out a big ol caboose. After the Caboose it was time to go.
We did a lot of other stuff up there, but this is the short version of our trip. On the way home Maddie was still favoring his hand so Candace called and got him into the doctor’s office so we didn’t have to take him to the ER. He had x-rays taken and they aren’t broken thankfully, but EXTREMELY sore. He still isn’t using his hand much. Hopefully he will feel better soon!
