Such a good big brother

22 Jul

When Maddux was first born, and before then even, I was so worried about how Spencer would take it. He was so use to being the baby of the family, I was scared he might get jealous. Thinking about it took up a lot of my time when I was pregnant with the Moe.

Now, as I am sitting here writing this, Spencer is watching Teletubbies, sitting right beside his little brother on the couch. Maddux saw the Superman shirt he had on and he wanted it and Spencer, without a second thought, helped him put it on. He would do anything for that kid. And I love it.

I hope as all three of them get older they keep that relationship. That they stay that close. They are each other’s best friend. I wouldn’t have thought with the age difference between Maddie and Spencer that they would play with each other the way they do, but Spencer always takes the time to play with him. He will stop whatever he is doing just to play with him.

I couldn’t ask for much more than those 3 to love each other the way they do.

Arbuckle Lake

20 Jul

Last night I was much too tired and hurt way too much to write about our day! So, here it is.We got to the lake at about 11. Maddie of course ran straight to the water, but he (for once in his little life) listened when we told him not to go in. Jakob and Spencer couldn’t wait to go in either. I sunblocked them all up and off they went. They all had a blast and can not wait to go back. I think we are gonna try to go back Sunday.

A little tip for everyone, wear sun block. I am so sun burned. I should have put it on, but I wanted to a rebel! :p

My dear sweet oldest son about knocked me unconscious by throwing a full water gun and hitting me in the head with it! It hurt so much I cried and I still have a huge knot on it! Poor guy! He felt really bad.

When we got home, I realized Maddie rode all the way home with no diaper! Thankfully he didn’t pee…or poop. But when we got in, I just let him lay in the floor but nekkid while we waited on Spencer to get finished in the bathroom so we could shower. I walked to the laundry to grab a towel and he peed on the floor!

So, we all shower and it’s Jake’s turn. And the toliet over flows…I ain’t talking about a little over flow. The bathroom was flooded! :gag: It took about half an hour to get that cleaned up.

Then, as we are drying all the rugs and stuff from the bathroom, the dryer starts making this clanking noise. We had to turn it off and have to get someone out here to look at it! I am so sick of people coming in my house and looking at my stuff! :sigh: Anyway, that was our day.

Busy Day

16 Jul

We have had a super busy day today! It was a lot of fun though!

We got up this morning with absolutely nothing to do, so on a whim, we decided to drive out to the Arbuckle Lake. I never even knew that place exsisted. It was pretty neat! The boys were just dying to get in, but we didn’t bring anything to swim in, so they couldn’t! Maddux was devastated when it was time to leave! We are gonna go back Thursday after Dylan’s dr appointment!

After we got back to town, we took Jakob and Spencer for a MUCH needed haircut! Jakob’s looks great, but Spencer’s is pretty jacked up! That kid just can’t get a decent cut! I have to find someone who knows what they are doing with his hair!

After that, we went home and rested a bit and got ready to go to the post office picnic thing. I wasn’t thrilled to go, but we knew they would enjoy the pool, so we went. And enjoy the pool they did! Jakob was fearless as always, but Spencer floored us! He went down the slide! And he loved it! He went over and over and over again! He had a blast! Before we left, he was ASKING Dylan to throw him in!

Maddie of course loved it also! He is a little water bug! I don’t think there has ever been a time where he was scared of the water…well, except maybe bath water! :p

Anyway, that’s pretty much our day. There are 2 new albums in the photo gallery Post Office Picnic and Arbuckle Lake. (click the titles for a quick link to them)

Who made this child

15 Jul

Spencer and I just had a conversation, it went like this:

  • Spencer:Mom?
  • Me:Yes?
  • S: have you seen my INVISIBLE car anywhere?
  • M: I don’t know Spencer. Where is the last place you remember parking it?
  • S: In the living room.
  • M: Well you should probably go look there.
  • S: Okay!
  • S: You were right mom! It’s right where I left it!

and off he went making screeching tire noises! That kid is too much!

Maddie’s speech eval

12 Jul

He had his speech evaluation on Monday. He is doing so so much better than he was in January. LOTS better! Obviously, anyone who hears him lately knows that!

He still has a delay in self concept and social role, which is not HUGE, but keeps him qualified for Sooner Start services.

Jakob, Dylan, and Spencer went to Lewisville to see Superman Returns today! They had a blast!

I went and bought all their school supplies and most of their clothes yesterday. I have to buy their shoes still and Jakob some more shorts cause I didn’t take his booty into account when I bought them yesterday so he will outgrow what I did buy pretty quickly. I can not believe it’s almost time for school to start back! Niether can they! :p

Michael and Kimber had their ultrasound today! CLICK HERE to find out whether the boys are having a boy cousin or girl cousin! We are so excited and happy for them!
