Time for a few updates

It’s been awhile since I have updated anything around here, but it’s been crazy.

Jakob went to his very first OU game last week. He was so excited to go. They had such a good time. Dylan said that he saw signs on some trash cans walking down Garfield street (where people park in people’s yards for anywhere between 10 to 20 dollars). He saw one that had a $15 sign on it and thought the people were selling the trash can!

Another hysterical question Jakob asked upon entering the stadium, was “Where is the yellow line”? (The first down marker on TV for all you non football watchers (aka LOSERS! ).) I thought that was completely hilarious!

I think going to that game made him feel 10 feet tall! As soon as I get a minute I will scan and upload all the pictures he took. He took some really cool action pictures!

He is doing really awesome at school! His teacher told me he is a great reader. I think we all already knew that though. :p He is really doing great though!

Spencer has started his A.R. reading and everyday he has a new book to read to me. It’s sometimes tedious, because he is very unsteady when he reads, but I have to keep telling myself that he is a new reader and I have to be patient. It’s very weird, because even when Jakob was a new reader, it seemed like he had be reading all along.  Spence is getting it though, it won’t be long until he is a proficient reader.

He also has his very first spelling test this week. I think he is going to do fantastic on it.

Maddux is talking  so much now! At times it’s enough to make you crazy. His favorite thing to say is “To infinity and beyond” ! (Thank you  very much Buzz Lightyear!) He is obsessed with him and we hope to get him a Buzz costume for Halloween, if not he is going to be Superman again.

Jakob and Spencer started Martial Arts classes at the YMCA last night. Jakob REALLY liked it! If he continues to like it then I will see about putting him a real Martial Arts class. These are just generic, free for members classes. They don’t do belts or anything like that.

Spencer didn’t enjoy them so much, but we are going to make him go a few times before he decides he doesn’t like them for good. Maddux enjoyed watching them and he even did some of the things they were doing. It was so cute. I wish I would have brought my camera.
