What’s new?
Not too much here. Things have been as hectic as ever and I am sure they aren’t going to settle down anytime soon.
I guess I will start my update with Jakob. (Here’s where I would put a picture, but apparently Photobucket is having some issues) Anyway, his baseball season is in full swing. Those of you who haven’t seen him in full uniform have NO idea what you are missing. It’s the cutest damn thing you’ve ever seen. He’s amazingly adorable. Wal-Mart sponsored their uniforms this year so that was pretty cool.
They’ve yet to win a game, which isn’t shocking because at this stage they should have a pitching machine, not kids pitching, but the Y is cheap and we obviously aren’t getting what we paid for with that. But it’s ok. They are getting better with every game.
Swimming lessons started this week and Jakob was a repeat Level 3. This was his 4th time doing level 3 and he just felt he was ready for more. So yesterday he asked his instructor to test him to see if he was ready for level 4. They tested him yesterday and his instructor said he was MORE than ready but he’d have to get the final approval from the level 4 instructor. He got that approval today after working completely one on one with the level 3 instructor for the entire hour. He is STOKED! And so am I! It’s awesome that he finally got to move up. I feel much more confident with him around the water. He’s 2 levels away from Guard Start.
Spencer is also in level 3 swimming lessons this year. He’s being stubborn about treading water, but he will get there. They said they were going to practice with him until he gets it.
His baseball season is going FANTASTIC! He was the all-star of the game one night. He was catching balls, making outs, scoring runs. He’s awesome. They have won 2 games back to back. This last one they ALMOST lost it at the very end, but they kept it together and got the big win! Awesome!
Maddux Ryan started T-ball this year and it’s the cutest thing EVER! All of these kids are 3 and 4 years old and just run all over the place! Half of them would hit the ball and they run after it instead of going to first base. It’s hysterical.
He doesn’t start swimming lessons until next week. I am nervous about him because he checks out very easily and is very stubborn. If he doesn’t want to do it, he isn’t going to do it. He’s very much like his mama that way.
Audrey Michelle was officially weaned from the bottle at 12 months old and became a walker at 13 months old. She is quite a bit ahead of her brothers as far as milestones go, but I have heard that girls mature faster than boys. I wish she’d just slow down a little bit. She’s becoming a kid and not a baby.
She is SUCH a girl! She loves bracelets and being told she is “So Pretty!”. She sits incredibly still while I do her hair and she loves to dance. She will dance all day long.
That’s my pretty long winded update, maybe I will get some pictures uploaded?
