The answer is probably not. Will we get one? Again, probably not. At least not anytime soon. We want a Boston Terrier or a French Bulldog but I am not sure we are ready to invest the time and energy into one right now. It would be nice, but we all know they don’t come housebroken and trained.
Anyway, school is starting in 3 weeks! That is totally insane right? It feels like they JUST got out for summer break. The Mad Dog is super excited about going to the “big boy” school. He can not wait. I am a little bit nervous for him because the “big boy” school is a lot bigger than Hickory Creek and he will be going 5 days a week instead of just 2.
Spencer is going to second grade and it’s obviously going to go WORLDS better than it did for that 1 week last year. He gained SO much by us keeping him back last year. His BFF Dare might be going to a new school this year, but I am hoping not. They are SO much alike. I never thought you could find another kid so much like Spencer. Heather (Dare’s mom) actually contributed to Spencer finally getting over his fear of dogs. That in itself is amazing it.
Jakob is going to 4th this year and I am begging and hoping he has a better year this year as far as his motor mouth is concerned. I don’t want to hear teacher complaints every other day because he can’t keep that trap of his shut. He’s too smart. He could be an all A student if he’d just shut up and do what he is supposed to do. Granted, I can’t complain because he has ALWAYS been on the honor roll, but still. It’d be nice if he’d be quiet.
Miss Audrey Michelle is such an amazing and fun little girl. She is always smiling and laughing. Being a girl mom is SO much fun. I love dressing her up and doing her hair. I think she likes having her hair done as much as I love doing it.
About 2 weeks ago we went to Six Flags again. We didn’t take Audrey this time since we wanted to ride as much as we could and we didn’t want her to get too hot. Dylan’s mom and dad came with us. It was a lot of fun. Maddux even rode on the parachutes, which was pretty freekin cool. He really liked them. But once again, his favorite ride was the teacups.
Now, if I can steal the show for a minute, I would like to share how my chicken shit self rode The Batman, The Superman, and The Titan. I did not like The Titan at all. I thought it was going to break my neck. The Batman and Superman were a blast though.
Last Thursday we took Jakob and Spencer to the Foo Fighters concert. In hindsight, they probably weren’t quite old enough to go to a concert but for the most part, they did have a blast. Spencer even took off his shirt and rocked out. They were too cute and the concert rocked. We did have to leave a bit early since Spencer totally zombied out, but even still I think it was worth it.
Last Friday I went to the dentist and got the rest of my fillings done and my wisdom tooth pulled. I am still recovering, but it’s feeling MUCH better. I don’t think I could have another tooth pulled though. That is pain right there.
Dylan has Shingles again, the poor dude. He can’t win. I am hoping that it doesn’t last long this time and that it doesn’t come back ever again. But working in that heat, it’s inevitably going to happen.
That’s about all I have in me today. We have to get ready for Jakob’s baseball party. <3
