Everything here has been insane lately. We still haven’t quite gotten back into the school routine. With me being sick this last week everything is a disaster and I can’t quite muster up the energy to get it cleaned up. Just call me lazy.
Jakob loves his teacher. I love his teacher for him. He is a totally different kid so far this year and I 100% believe that is the direct result of a teacher that engages him. When he comes home, he is eager to talk about his day. He tells me how his teacher talks to them as people, not babies. He was still in a group with other kids up until Monday, when the entire class got seated individually. I am proud of him and for him. I am no longer upset that someone felt my child wasn’t good enough to be in their class. I thank her for not taking him. It’s been the best thing.
Spencer is still happy-go-lucky Spencer. He likes school and his teacher. He had his first spelling test last week and guess what?? You could actually read the words! That’s HUGE! He’s still writing his numbers backwards and when he reads he will sometimes add words that aren’t there or leave words that are there out, so I am not too sure what to do with that. I don’t know if it’s something he will outgrow or if I honestly should be concerned. He recognizes it’s wrong when it’s pointed out to him, but if it wasn’t he would leave it wrong. Who knows with that child.
Maddux LOVES…..LOVES school! He is always eager to get there and for me to leave. It is truly his home away from home. He loves his teacher and he is becoming less shy. Which is good. His teacher is awesome with actually teaching. They are working on writing their names everyday and their colors too. He even had homework! In Pre-K! Homework! He was too excited over that!
Audrey Michelle is changing everyday! She is such a goofball. Right now, she has taken a page from Jakob’s book and is over the moon in love with Elmo in Grouchland. She watches it ALL.THE.TIME! She says “blankie” when she wants to watch it. She is so funny and is growing like a weed! I am pretty sure she can’t fit in any of her 12 month stuff any longer, which kind of puts a damper in her wardrobe choices.
Randal Danger is the coolest dog EVAH! He is so loving and cuddly! He learned rest, lay down, and sneak this week. He already knew sit. Now if I can just get him to understand come here we will be doing great. He likes to go outside and just lay in the sun. We took him to play with Max and Katie the other day and I have pictures that maybe I will upload one of these days. (They also include Cindy’s “special” mushrooms 
)
Everything else is just crazy. I finished sewing Aud’s Dorothy dress for Halloween. I am not super thrilled with it, but it’s not bad considering my sewing ability. Next up are clown costumes for Maddux and Alex and a Jedi for Spencer. Not sure what Jake is going to be or if he is going to be anything at all. He keeps saying he doesn’t want to go TOT, but we will see when the time comes.
Dylan is sick with sinusy stuff and I am sick with exhaustion from being sick. Ought to be a super productive day. ::rolleyes::
