For my brother….

29 Jun

Someday, life won’t suck so bad and things won’t hurt so much. One day, things will work out for you. I am waiting for that day. Patiently.

(this is something I wrote for him that I don’t think he ever saw, so I am putting it here so maybe he will. He knows which one it’s for.)

Hey…

29 Jun

I miss Christian, just so you know!

I want to go back…

This Moment

Life Ain’t Always Beautiful is the song Gary Allan was singing when I snapped this picture.

Jakob’s hit at his game last night=

24 Jun

AWESOME! He had a super productive game night. He got a hit, got hit (in the elbow while he was up to bat), and stole home! I am proud of him. And he was SO super proud of himself. They played Plainview 1 again and for the first time in I think 5 games, we didn’t have to call the game because there was no way we could catch up. We were in it….sorta.

Here’s his hit and maybe I’ll get some pictures uploaded too?
Jakob getting a hit!

Seriously?

1`So, after having a kidney infection for a solid month and finally getting somewhere on that, the next day I come down with strep throat! ARGH!!

I have never, ever, ever had strep throat before and I don’t want it ever again. That was hands down one of the worst days of my life. I couldn’t swallow my own spit without feeling like I was swallowing hand fulls of razor blades and thumbtacks. I stayed doped up on Lortab to stay on top of the pain all day yesterday and thanks to the IV of Rocephin I had gotten the night before in the ER for my kidneys, and the extra shot in the hip Gina gave me that morning for the strep, this morning I felt almost completely well. I’m no fool though, I am still taking my antibiotics faithfully.

I don’t think I could wish strep on my worst enemy.

Dylan and the boys went camping with his mom and dad and his brother’s family which leaves me and the girl here, just chilling out and resting up. I should take advantage of this and clean house, but I am still recovering. :p

Let’s see, Spencer’s broken nose…..uh, his face shield is HYSTERICAL! Poor kid. He has to wear it pretty much the rest of baseball season and any time there might be potential for further injuring it. (bike riding, etc) They lasered his face with a light to get a 3-d picture of it and then they made a mold of his face to make the shield. Well, they gave him the mold and it’s pretty cool looking.

For those who don’t know how he broke his nose (and there’s not many of you who don’t) here’s a snippet of it:

Apparently Jakob and Spencer were playing this game they called Casper. Spencer had a bag over his head and was standing on Maddux’s bed and Jakob pushed him off the bed. Unable to judge the fall with the bag over his head, his nose hit the floor first.   umum Doh Undecided Yes, my kids are effin weird. I can admit it.  roll eyes

So, yeah. Tell me one better from your house?

What else has been going on lately? I guess not a whole lot. Jakob’s team almost won a game the other night. It was close. The closest yet. Spencer has only played one game being that he was banned once we found out his nose was broken.

Anyway, I am gonna go. Miss Michelle is being a bit grabby and touchy with my computer right now.
